Dr. Jacque Y. Curtis-Sherrill is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Reared in southwest Philadelphia, she is one of two children born to Nathaniel and Tee Major Curtis. Sis. Sherrill accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at a young age and developed a strong passion and desire to serve Him in ministry. After completing her studies at the University of Pennsylvania with honors, she attended and graduated from Temple University School of Medicine, specializing in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Jacque Y. Curtis-Sherrill is the wife of Pastor Edmund T. Sherrill. While maintaining her private practice, the Grays Ferry Medical Center in south Philadelphia, she maintains her focus on family. She is the proud mother of two sons, Jalen and Justin Sherrill. Having served as her husband’s partner in ministry for over 19 years, she has developed a passion in many areas within the church including, Women’s Ministry, Youth Ministry, Christian Education, Scholarship Ministry, New Member Ministry, and the Mt. Enon Community Outreach. She has used her many spiritual gifts to implement many programs throughout the community including Health Awareness events and Community Health Fairs. In 2013, she was named one of the “100 Most Influential Women of Philadelphia.”
Dr. Jacque Y. Curtis-Sherrill takes pride in being, “Just Plain Jacque,” nothing fancy. She just enjoys working beside her husband in ministry, as well as in life. The evangelistic call on her life has afforded her the opportunity to be a powerful bible teacher.
In addition, she is privileged to be called an encourager, a motivator, and a woman who simply “makes things happen.” God has truly blessed them as an anointed team.
