Deacon's Ministry
The Deacon Ministry maintains the currency of the membership through services, spiritual nurturing, systematic visitations, benevolent and bereavement support, and support of the Senior Pastor’s vision “…It is not reason that we should leave the word of God and serve tables. Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.” Acts 7:2–3
The Deacon Ministry administers communion at third Sunday services and upon request to homebound members. The Deacons oversee baptisms and right hand of fellowship to new members. Most importantly, each Mt. Enon member is assigned a Deacon who is available to assist you in times of sickness or bereavement, or to have prayer with you in times of trials and tribulation.
In order to assist you, please contact your Deacons should a crisis occur. Also, please provide your Deacons with current contact information (new address, telephone number, etc.) whenever there is an update.
