Do you want to be Saved?

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 (NAS)

Have you ever wondered what you must do to be saved or how do you become a Christian? Here is an answer from the Bible:

FIRST, you must understand you need to be saved. You need to be saved because you are a sinner. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). Also read Romans 5:12.

SECOND, you must understand there is a penalty for sin. You cannot save yourself. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23).

THIRD, you must understand you can be saved. God loves you right now as you are. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). Also read 2 Peter 3:9.

FOURTH, you must know what you need to do to be saved. That if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation (Romans 10:9,10). Also read John 4:16; Romans 10:13; Ephesians 2:8,9.

NOW, you must want to be saved. If you are ready to trust Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, invite Him into your heart right now by praying to Him. You may say your own prayer or use the one written here.

Dear Heavenly Father, I come in the name of Jesus, because I want to be saved. I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord. I believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead. I also confess that I have sinned, and I ask that you forgive me of my sins. I want Jesus Christ to be my Lord and Savior. I want Jesus Christ to be the center of my life; the center of my decisions. I thank you Lord for saving me. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.

WELCOME TO GOD'S FAMILY! But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God (John 1:12,13).
